Listen to an idea. Summarize it briefly. Then respond.

Start with “So…” or “You mean…” before giving your opinion.

SET 1 – Short Summary (3×1)

Speak for 60 seconds.

Statement:

“I’ve been working extra hours lately because we’re short-staffed, and it’s getting exhausting.”

  1. Summarize the main idea.
  2. Respond naturally.
  3. Keep sentences medium length.
  4. Example rhythm:

    “So you’ve been working a lot because there aren’t enough people. That sounds exhausting.”

    Stay clear. Don’t repeat everything word-for-word.

    SET 2 – Summary + Opinion (3×1)

    Speak for 60 seconds.

    Statement:

    “I’m thinking about changing careers, but I’m not sure if it’s the right time.”

  5. Summarize briefly.
  6. Give your opinion.
  7. Add one reason.
  8. Example rhythm:

    “So you’re considering a career change, but you’re unsure about the timing. I think it’s worth exploring, especially if you’re not happy.”

    Keep your flow steady.

    SET 3 – Summary + Question (3×1)

    Speak for 60 seconds.

    Statement:

    “I moved to a new city last month, and I still don’t know many people.”

  10. Show understanding.
  11. Ask one follow-up question.
Example rhythm:

“So you just moved and you’re still adjusting. That can be tough. Have you met anyone through work?”

Don’t rush. Keep it natural.
