How to train (quick guide)

Disagree without sounding aggressive. Keep structure balanced.

One agreement phrase + one different view. Same tense.
SET 1 – “I see your point, but…” (3×6)
Balanced contrast.
- I see your point, but I think we need more time.
- I understand what you mean, but I’m not convinced.
- I get why you’d say that, but I’m not sure it’s right.
- I see where you’re coming from, but I disagree.
- I understand the concern, but I don’t think it’s urgent.
- I get the idea, but it might not work.
- Maybe you’re right, but we should double-check.
- Maybe it would help, but it’s still risky.
- Maybe that’s true, but it’s not the full picture.
- Maybe we could try that, but it’s expensive.
- Maybe he meant well, but it didn’t land well.
- Maybe it’s possible, but it won’t be easy.
- I see what you’re saying, but I’d approach it differently.
- I get your logic, but I’m not fully on board.
- I understand the idea, but it feels rushed.
- I see the benefit, but the timing worries me.

SET 2 – “Maybe…, but…” (3×6)
Softer tone. Stable structure.
SET 3 – Slightly More Natural Flow (3×6)
Conversational rhythm. Still controlled.

Disagree politely with one idea you heard today.
Respond to an imaginary suggestion with a soft contrast.
Say one disagreement sentence smoothly without hesitation.
✅ Finish when
Your tone sounds calm and balanced.
Both parts stay in the same tense.
You don’t hesitate before “but.”
