Use one natural linker only.
SET 1 – Basic Linking (2×8)
Turn two short sentences into one smooth sentence.
- I was tired. I went home.
- It was raining. We stayed inside.
- I called her. She didn’t answer.
- He studied hard. He passed.
- I wanted to go. I didn’t have time.
- She was hungry. She ordered food.
- We were late. The meeting started.
- He tried again. It worked.
- I was tired. I still finished it.
- It didn’t work. I tried again.
- She didn’t reply. I waited.
- I didn’t like it. I understood it.
- We were busy. We made time.
- It was expensive. I bought it.
- He forgot. I reminded him.
- It was late. We kept talking.
→ I was tired, so I went home.
