SET 1 – Smooth Self-Correction (4×1)

Speak for 90 seconds.

Topic: A recent decision you made.

During your answer:

  1. Intentionally say something slightly unclear.
  2. Fix it naturally using phrases like:
  3. - “What I mean is…”

    - “Let me rephrase that…”

    - “Actually, that’s not exactly what I meant…”

  4. Continue without stopping.
  5. Example upgrade:

    Instead of restarting:

    ❌ “I decided to change jobs because— sorry, wait, let me start again.”

    Use:

    ✅ “I decided to change jobs because— actually, what I mean is I wanted more flexibility.”

    Keep moving forward.

    SET 2 – Clarify Under Pressure (4×1)

    Speak for 90 seconds.

    Topic: A challenge you faced.

    Midway through:

  6. Add clarification using:
  7. - “To be more specific…”

    - “More accurately…”

    - “The better way to say it is…”

  8. Expand the same idea.
  9. Don’t abandon the sentence. Improve it live.

    SET 3 – Correct Without Apologizing (4×1)

    Speak for 90 seconds.

    Topic: Something you're working on.

    If you hesitate or misword something:

  10. Do NOT say “Sorry.”
  11. Adjust smoothly using:
  12. - “Let me put it this way…”

    - “Another way to look at it is…”

    - “What I’m trying to say is…”

    Maintain calm tone. Stay confident.

    SET 4 – Structured Recovery (4×1)

    Speak for 90 seconds.

    Topic: A goal you’re working toward.

    During your answer:

  13. Pause briefly.
  14. Shift slightly.
  15. Return clearly using:
  16. - “Anyway…”

    - “Going back to that…”

    - “The main point is…”

    Control the conversation. Don’t lose your structure.
