Stay smooth, clear, and natural — no overthinking.

Pause briefly before and after the modifier.
Keep your voice calm inside the modifier.

🟡 CONTROL SET 1 – Slow and Clear (3×10)

Say each sentence twice — first slowly, then at normal speed.

  1. My sister, who lives in Paris, is visiting next week.
  2. This coffee, made fresh this morning, tastes amazing.
  3. The movie, which was really long, was still fun.
  4. Our teacher, who’s from Canada, speaks clearly.
  5. That man, wearing a blue jacket, helped me cross the street.
  6. 🎧 Tip: Slight pause before and after the modifier. Lower your tone slightly inside it.

    🟡 CONTROL SET 2 – Change and Flow (3×10)

    Switch the modifiers fast. Keep control.

  7. My friend, who’s a doctor, loves hiking.
  8. My friend, who’s an artist, loves hiking.
  9. My friend, who’s a teacher, loves hiking.
  10. My friend, who’s a musician, loves hiking.
  11. My friend, who’s a student, loves hiking.
  12. 🗣 Say each one smoothly, no breaks.

    Keep a steady rhythm — one breath per sentence.

    🟡 CONTROL SET 3 – Your Turn

    Now create your own. Keep the same pattern.

  13. Someone in your family + where they live
  14. A thing you use every day + what makes it special
  15. A place you like + what it looks like
  16. Example:

    My phone, which I bought last year, still works perfectly.

    Say each of your own sentences three times — slow, normal, and faster.

    Record 5 of your best sentences using modifiers.

    Listen again and check:

  17. Do I pause naturally?
  18. Does my voice stay calm in the modifier?
  19. Does it sound like real speech?
