Hold the same time meaning across two sentences. Don’t drift.

No switching tenses unless the meaning changes.
SET 1 – Stable Past (3×6)
Two sentences. Same time frame.
- I woke up late. I missed the meeting.
- She forgot to call. I waited all evening.
- We arrived early. The place was still closed.
- He sent the email. Nobody replied.
- They changed the plan. We had to adjust.
- I tried again. It still didn’t work.
- I work from home. I don’t commute anymore.
- She lives nearby. We see her often.
- We usually eat outside. It feels more relaxed.
- He works nights. He sleeps during the day.
- They run the business. They handle everything.
- I study in the evenings. I focus better then.
- I’m going to leave early. I’ll call you later.
- She’s going to apply again. She won’t give up.
- We’re going to move soon. We’ll start packing next week.
- He’s going to explain it. He’ll make it clear.
- They’re going to try again. They won’t quit.
- I’m going to rest tonight. I’ll feel better tomorrow.
SET 2 – Stable Present (3×6)
Keep the meaning in the present.
SET 3 – Stable Future Intention (3×6)
Keep both parts in the future.
