Use soft uncertainty phrases. Don’t stop completely.

SET 1 – Express Uncertainty (3×1)

Speak for 60 seconds.

Answer the question even if you're unsure.

Questions:

  1. When will you travel next?
  2. What will you be doing in five years?
  3. Is this the best time to change jobs?
  4. Use phrases like:

    “I’m not entirely sure, but…”

    “I guess…”

    “Maybe…”

    “It depends…”

    Example rhythm:

    “I’m not entirely sure, but I might travel in the summer.”

    “I guess in five years I’ll still be working in the same field.”

    Keep sentences medium length.

    SET 2 – Think Out Loud (3×1)

    Speak for 60 seconds.

    Topic: A decision you're considering.

  5. Say what you're unsure about.
  6. Think through it out loud.
  7. Mention at least one possibility.
  8. Example rhythm:

    “I’m not sure yet. On one hand, it sounds exciting, but on the other hand, it’s risky.”

    Don’t freeze while thinking.

    SET 3 – Uncertain Opinion (3×1)

    Speak for 60 seconds.

    Topic: A trend or idea you’re unsure about.

  9. Start with hesitation.
  10. Explain why you're unsure.
  11. Add one possible outcome.
Example rhythm:

“I’m not completely convinced. It might work, but it also depends on the situation.”

Stay calm. Stay connected.

Speak for 60 seconds without stopping.

Use at least 2 uncertainty phrases.
