Intermediate

Focus: Core

Intermediate focus: Add variation and link ideas. Keep flow with short pauses.

How to train (quick guide)
  1. Read Set 1 once quietly.
  2. Say all reps out loud.
  3. Do sets in order.
  4. Repeat the whole exercise 2 times.

🧩 Connector Plank – Reps: 10

Train your connector control — hold your sentence flow steady and natural.

⚠️ RULE
👀 Glance → 🗣 Speak → ➡️ Keep rhythm
Each connector is a plank hold — smooth, tight, controlled.
Focus on timing and tone — not grammar.

🟢 LEARN THE PATTERN

Say these like you’re talking to a friend.

No reading voice — short breaths, natural rhythm.

  1. It’s cold, but I kinda like it.
  2. I wanted to go out, so I called a friend.
  3. He’s busy, and he doesn’t like being interrupted.
  4. She left early, because she wasn’t feeling great.
  5. I don’t drink coffee, though I love the smell.
  6. We missed the train, so we grabbed a cab instead.
  7. I was tired, but I still finished it.
  8. They’re nice people, and super easy to talk to.
  9. He called, but I didn’t hear my phone.
  10. It’s late, so let’s wrap this up.
3 sets × 10 reps — build connector stability through rhythm and repetition.

Each rep strengthens recall and natural linking.

🟡 RETRIEVE IT FAST

Repeat the same 10 from memory — 2 seconds per line.

Keep it fluid, natural tone.

If it feels robotic, slow down and rebuild rhythm.

🔴 USE IT AUTOMATICALLY

Freestyle: talk about your day using and, but, so, because, though naturally.

Keep sentences short, smooth, connected.

Think rhythm, not grammar.

Example flow:

I was late, but I didn’t rush.

I grabbed a coffee, so I woke up fast.

It rained, and I kinda liked the sound.

🧩 HOMEWORK

Record a 1-minute voice note called “My Day in Connectors.”

Use all five: and, but, so, because, though.

Play it back — should sound like you’re telling a story, not reading lines.

✅ Finish when

Your sentences link smoothly with natural rhythm.

You can hold your flow for a full minute without breaking tone.
